Jane Peterson, PhD, draws upon a broad intellectual background, from chemistry to the fine arts, from shamanism, NLP and hypnotherapy to cognitive neuropsychology, human communication, somatics, trauma, and attachment theory. She has a PhD in Human and Organizational Systems and is a certified infosyon Master Trainer. From 2001 through 2015, she traveled and taught systemic constellation work in several countries. Jane served for nine years as on the faculty at the Systemic Constellation Intensive in Germany, and six years as a consulting editor and advisor to the Knowing Field Journal. Jane founded the Human Systems Institute in 1999 and continues to teach and consult using constellation work and her own R.E.S. approach. In 2016, she and her husband established a small permaculture farm near Portland, Oregon USA
Jane's statement:
I met Bert Hellinger and Hunter Beaumont in 1998 and was immediately taken with the systemic, somatic-based approach to resolving human suffering that constellation work offered. Something powerful was happening in these “constellations”, and quickly!
I wanted to understand the magic of the process, and to share this powerful work effectively with others. Out of that impulse, the Human Systems Institute, Inc. was formed in 1999 with the mission of introducing constellation work in the world. Twenty years later, due to the efforts of Bert Hellinger, Gunthard Weber, Albrecht Mahr, Hunter Beaumont, Sneh Schnabel, and many others who love this work, constellations seem to have taken root, with many wonderful teachers and facilitators in over 30 countries world-wide.
My personal journey has taken many twists and turns, from being the first woman engineer hired in my department at an international high-tech company, to owning my own sculpture and pottery studio. Sometimes, I was just in the right place at the right time. I met Arny Mindell when he first brought his teachings to the US. I met Bert Hellinger on one of his first trips to the US. Wanting a deeper grounding in phenomenology and other aspects of this mysterious work, I went back to graduate school. My dissertation chair was a leader in the field of human communication, and was retiring just as I finished my degree. Another was a leading phenomenological researcher. I have gratefully braided all the gifts of teachings I received into my work, always searching for the clarity and inspiration that will bring the many aha! moments I've experienced to others.
